A local-first desktop workspace for screenwriting and film/television development. SCS imports and exports FDX, edits screenplay elements, and keeps story structure, treatments, entities, versions, continuity, production metadata, and reports beside the script in open formats. Prerequisites: Node 22+, pnpm 10, Rust stable, Tauri 2 platform prerequisites.
- Screenplay editing — FDX import/export, Fountain source/export, screenplay keyboard flow, undo/redo, element switching, smart uppercase, page boundaries, typewriter mode
- Output — screenplay-specific print/PDF, DOCX/RTF/TXT export, up to 32 named title pages, production locks, revision colors
- Story structure — Act/Sequence/Scene/Beat tree, drag-reorderable scenes, beat cards, Story Map, outline board with Boneyard; outline moves don't rewrite the script until Make Draft Match Outline
- Analysis — deterministic character/location/object/dialogue/pacing analysis, production tags, script reports (Markdown/CSV/JSON/PDF)
- Track Changes — inline proposals with atomic accept/reject, portable recovery
- Versions — snapshots, Alternate Draft branches, milestones, three-way merges
- Television — episode tabs, shared cast/locations, show bible, season arcs
- Writer tools — SmartType, spelling scans, dictionaries, autocorrect, thesaurus, format assistant, text macros, writing statistics and sprints
- Read Aloud / Dictation — OS voices only, no cloud speech service; dictation hands off to the OS voice-input workflow
- Collaboration — nine roles, scoped comments/suggestions, version approvals, writer-room tasks, provider-folder sync, optional HTTPS Git sync
- Help — built-in, works offline, searches bundled repo guides
